Consortium for Ocean Leadership
The Joides Resolution is a scientific drilling ship operated by the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, a nonprofit based in Washington, DC and representing leading ocean research institutions. The Joides Resolution was retrofitted and updated in 2007 - 2008, which was funded by Congress. 3D modeling of the ship allowed flexibility for a variety of presentations, including ghosted views, cutaways, and exploded views used in the report to Congress. The flyby animation was used on an educational website.
